How do you know if your idea is a good one? Well, experiment it!
Kokeilun paikka brings together experimenters, financiers, new ideas and lessons learned. Not many solutions that improved our health or revolutionised the world would have been discovered if not for bold experiments. Free school meals? Pacemakers? Text messages? All of these were innovated through experiments.
Here, you can turn your ideas into experiments, apply for funding by participating in experiment challenges, comment on experiments of others and share your lessons learned.
Kokeilun paikka is intended for everyone: individuals, companies, educational and research institutions, associations and public organisations. It is a service for everyone who wants to harness their ideas into practical applications and find new solutions through experiments.
Kokeilun paikka was built in 2017 from a desire to improve an experimental culture in Finland in the Government’s “Kokeileva Suomi” (Finland of experiments) key project. Now, the service is run by Motiva, the Finnish Government’s sustainable development company. Welcome to Kokeilun paikka!

Instructions
Kokeilun paikka is an openly accessible experiment platform where you can turn your ideas into experiments, apply for funding by participating in experiment challenges, comment on other experiments and share your lessons learned.
Kokeilun paikka is open for everyone: individuals, companies, educational and research institutions, associations and public organisations.
This is how it works!
Start by getting registered, after which you can start your own experiments and comment on those of others. You can edit your user profile to help everyone who shares your areas of interest to find you. All users can see your profile.
Start your experiment now. Respond to questions and move on from ideas to lessons learned through agile experiments. Participate in experiment challenges to apply for funding for your experiment. If you participate in experiment challenges, read the challenge criteria carefully and respond to questions on the basis of the challenge description.
Share your experiences along the way. You can also share your experiences after your experiment. Once your experiment has ended, share your lessons learned with others. We all want to know how you did and what results you produced, not forgetting any useful mistakes.

Rules of Kokeilun paikka
Kokeilun paikka is a community for people who encourage each other. Let’s support and encourage one another. Everything is allowed, as long as you are nice to others!
We follow the principles of open innovation. When you publish your idea, it may be used by anyone. You can also use ideas of others. Always remember to express your thanks when you borrow someone else’s ideas. By working together, we can make our ideas even better. Don’t take credit for experiments proposed by others without asking first. Of course, you can offer your skillset to others for their experiments.
Administrators may remove published content from the service if it is considered to be inappropriate or offensive. We may also request you to edit descriptions of your experiments.
